It has been a minute since my last update. Life has been busy here in Atlanta and there are a couple things I wanted to let you know about that are coming up this month! I'm excited!


NEW SHOW - NOVEMBER 28TH @ RED CLAY
My friend and aspiring young songwriter Jacob Harshman is releasing his debut EP and I have the privilege of helping him celebrate by opening for him at his CD release show. One of my favorite music venues, Red Clay Music Foundry, and one of my favorite people, Eddie Owen, will be hosting us on this special night of music. You don't want to miss this.

NEW SONG - COMING NOVEMBER 27TH
This past summer I had the chance to road-trip to my great home-state of Michigan and record a new song. Some of you may have followed along on Facebook/Instagram. Well, the time has come at last to for you to hear it! On Friday, November 27th my new song "All In" will be available on all major digital stores, including iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, and more! ONE MORE THING...
For those who haven't heard, I recently accepted a full-time worship leader position at Victory World Church, which has been my home church for the past eight years here in Atlanta. I am excited for this new season! While my focus has shifted from a heavy touring schedule, I am still writing and recording and playing live when I can. This career shift has been in the works for a while now and I love my new job. I believe I am exactly where God wants me to be. 

I will miss some parts of the touring life, and I am certainly not finished taking this show on the road, but I have more peace now than I've ever had. Big things are (still) in the works.

Hi there!

The excitement is building. I have some cool things happening and I am pleased to share some of that with you today! Here's what is going on this month...

NEW EP TITLE AND ARTWORK
I am in the final stages of making a new record! Woohoo! The masters of my 4-song EP of worship music are in my hands (and by "hands" I mean, "hard drive"). And now the last few pieces are being put together! Today, I am excited to reveal the cover artwork AND the title of this project! I'm pretty pumped to see "FORTRESS" coming together. I'm also pumped to know that I am not doing this thing alone. I'm ALSO pumped to be doing some fun things leading up to the release date, which will be sometime in April. So, I'm pumped! Pumped UP! Somewhat related: I have had WAY too much espresso, so I'm also PUMPED about that! ;)

Seriously, though, I am excited for the coming weeks. Good things are on the way!

This is shaping up to be an exciting 2015 for me! I have some fun things in the works. Today, I am especially energized, because...


NEW MUSIC UPDATE
Last month I drove a couple hours north of the ATL, into a land with little-to-no cell phone service (it was glorious) and began a new recording project! I had the honor of working with award winning mixing engineer and producer Chuck Harris. We recorded on a baby grand in a church just outside Chattanooga, and then tracked vocals in his home studio, even farther north into rural Tennessee. It was an amazing time creating new songs. I can't wait to share them with you!

As I write this I am listening to a first mix of one of the songs. I love this part of the recording process, hearing my ideas com to life. I think you are going to like it.

Happy January! Happy 2015!

I hope you're still keeping to your resolutions after just the first week. ;) As I look at the year ahead, I am excited for new possibilities and new music. I have written a couple songs already this year, and I am going to try to keep this momentum going!

2014 was a great year for cranking out new songs for me. I exceeded my songwriting goal, and now...


STUDIO TIME
I'm headed to the studio! At the end of January, I will be working with engineer Chuck Harris to record something really cool. It will be unlike anything I have ever done before, and I can't wait to see how it turns out. I will keep you posted on the progress and, of course, let you know when you can hear it.

We had a great night on December 5th at Red Clay Music Foundry. It was an honor to share the stage with some awesome songwriters and musicians. And the best part? Live-sound engineer extraordinaire Shalom Aberle captured the sounds of the evening on CD. And now, I'm sharing one of this sounds with you, for free!
